Another magazine I researched was ESPN the Magazine. On the cover of the latest issue the cover has a picture of Philadelphia Eagle's quarterback as a Thanksgiving day parade float. This goes along with the main story which highlights the recent success for Wentz, it also fits the Thanksgiving theme. The articles are either informative or argumentative about a topic in sports. For instance, one article in the magazine argues that success in basketball relies more on the plays run by teams rather than the amount of star power they have, and uses the Golden State Warriors as an example. Another article is all about the life of baseball hall of famer Roy Halladay, and what he has done for the sport. There is ads for the movie Jumanji, the company Ford, the network ESPN, etc. The advertisements appear after two articles or so. The magazine has won a general excellence award twice, they have also won an award in the service and lifestyle category.
