The fifth magazine I researched was Sporting News. On the cover of the issue I observed there was a picture of retired NFL quarterback Peyton Manning getting ready to throw a pass. The photo matches the magazine's main story which is about Peyton Manning and why he is the best QB in the NFL. The articles and advertisements found in this magazine are similar to all of the other ones that I researched. The most common articles are about sports such as: basketball, baseball, soccer, and football. Ads appear every couple of pages, while researching I have noticed that this a common pattern that magazines tend to follow. The company has received any awards. After 126 years the company discontinued print issues, readers now use the magazines website to catch up on what is going on in sports.
